Established in 1977 - Incorporated 2000The primary function and purpose of the Retired Customs Officer Association of WA (RCOA) is to encourage former officers to keep in touch, and we do this by the regular publication of our newsletter and by organising an annual programme of periodic social activities. Participation in the social programme is of course entirely without compulsion, and we are pleased to note that some members, who are unable to attend outings on a regular basis for any number of reasons, nevertheless wish to retain their membership, just to keep in touch, especially via our newsletter.
The Australian Border Force does not have the means to keep former officers informed of departmental or retired officers' functions, however they are able to maintain this important contact through the RCOA.
